The
obedience training of the dog is an essential step for the owner to
enjoy its companionship at all moment. A trained dog is a controlled
animal that knows and respects its owner and its orders. The discipline
of obedience will allow the owner to develop in any environment and
situation next to the dog with security and calm.
Normally, the first orders that a dog learns are: attention, sit,
lay, get up, accompany on one side without the leash, control of destructive
behavior, sphincter control, socialization, etc. This is known as
“Basic obedience”. However, it is possible to teach it
much more complex skills, ranging from playing dead up to recognizing
objects and take them to the owner. In this case, this would be called
“Advanced obedience”.
Agility is developed in an obstacle track, where they compete in:
jumps, slalom, ramp, catwalk, etc. The judge of the competition defines
the tour by locating obstacles according to his criterion within the
regulatory framework. The length of the circuit and the time are determined.
The winner is the one that can finish the rack with the lowest amount
of faults. Agility is the sportive mode for dogs and people giving
more possibilities of fun. It opens the door to owners who want to
develop the capabilities of the dog, and, in turn, reinforce its link,
by practicing sports. |
