Aesthetically great specimens with the appropriate characteristics for a show, but with a very special temper.

They characterize for being “ball- type” dogs (adjective that canine trainers give to dogs with obsession for balls) and with a great devotion to work.

Their character is extremely independent and playful. They never take a rest and leave everything (even their meal time) if there is a ball in their owner’s hand, and there is the chance to play with it.

Specimens with these characteristics are specially selected for starting obedience trainings.

Then, they become specialized in several disciplines proper for hunting:
- Retrieval (hunt)
- Competition (Obedience, agility, etc)
- Narcotics detection
- Explosive detection
- Guide Dog (Guide)
- assistance dog (specially trained for people with

different capabilities)
- Fantasy (acting dogs)

An Indigo may be a beautiful dog, but it should also have the essential characteristics to work.
